Tsonga really stole the hearts of all South Africans and we hope to see him again next year.

The doubles final went to a nail-biting tie break with South Africa’s Rik de Voest playing with Australian Ashley Fisher. Dick Norman and James Cerratani just managed to finish things off to take the title.

Gauteng Central are very proud of their players who were ballboys/girls at the Open with all of them being selected for the semi finals or finals. They worked long hours and missed a lot of school but everyone of them would do it again in a heartbeat! They all had fun and agree that it was an opportunity of a lifetime.
