Good Start for Bundes Defending Champs

Both the reigning champions, Bedfordview in the men and Bryanston Sports Club in the ladies began this year’s Dunlop Bundes League in fine style.

In the ladies Bryanston beat Boskruin 17 – 1 for a commanding victory and when you consider that Rene Plant did not play, then their quest to retain their crown will be made even easier.

Elsewhere new comers Old Eds went down to Bedfordview by 3 – 15 and Marks Park A beat their sister side 16 – 2.

In the men Bedfordview easily accounted for Old Eds also returning to Bundes league after a break of some years, 18 – 7 with Old Eds winning two of the three doubles and gaining a set in the other.

The closest match saw Fairlands, also newcomers, beat Marks Park by 15 – 8 and this after the singles matches were shared.
