Southern Gauteng Girls’ Inter-High

The Southern Gauteng Girls’ High School tennis association held its annual junior inter-high tennis tournament at four different venues across Johannesburg this past weekend. Twenty-five schools participated in this event. Each team consisted of four pupils from Grades 8 and 9. This year, the St Mary’s School, Waverley, A team beat Helpmekaar Kollege in a very close match by 10 games to 8 to take the title. In third place was Northcliff High School who beat St Stithians Girls’ College.
