Congratulations to Karen Losch of Wheelchair Tennis South Africa on winning the SA Sports Administrator of the Year Award at the SA Sports Awards held in Bloemfontein last night.
Early last month, Losch scooped her first major accolade at Silver Star Casino in Mogale City when Gauteng celebrated the outstanding achievements of sportsmen and sportswomen and Losch was amid the eminent sports stars being rewarded for their hard work. The 46-year-old Losch won the Administrator of the year award at that prestigious event.
Losch has been the driving force behind the running of the association and tournaments where she is involved in all aspects to organize and manage international tournaments. South Africa now hosts six tournaments on the UNIQLO World Wheelchair Tennis Tour including one of only 6 Super Series (Premier events) offered each year. It is through the eminent Losch that today the federation has five players ranked in the top 13 globally, has an astonishing 70 plus players on the world ranking and has over 600 active players in SA and more than 50 centers and schools offering wheelchair tennis coaching nationwide.
