Roland Garros – Kevin in – Raven out

on

It was a day of mixed fortunes for South Africans at the French Open, as Kevin Anderson advanced to the third round of the men’s singles, but Raven Klaasen crashed out the of the men’s doubles.
Anderson fought back from a set down to beat Australian, Nick Kyrgios, in four sets (5-7, 6-4, 6-1, 6-2).
Anderson now faces Britain’s Kyle Edmund in the round of 32 and will be full of confidence after beating 18th seed, Kyrgios.
However, there was disappointment for SA doubles star, Klaasen, as he and his partner, Rajeev Ram, lost in straight sets to Czechs, Jiri Vesely and Roman Jebavy (5-7, 4-6).
However Klaasen’s French Open is far from over. He is also in mixed doubles action tomorrow, as he and Katarina Srebotnik of Slovenia, take on veterans, Martina Hingis and Leander Paes in the round of 32.
