Some great results coming in from South African Caitlin Herb playing collegiate tennis in the United States. In the final day of action in the Wildcat Fall Invitational one mighty Wildcat came out champion in Caitlin Herb.
Herb defeated her fellow countrywoman Louise-Mare Botes from Idaho State 6-3, 6-1 in the championship round of the main singles draw. In the semi finals Caitlin faced up against another South African collegiate player – Huibre-Mare Botes (twin sister of Louise Mare) and beat her 6-0 7-5.
“Today concluded our Fall Invitational and it was a great weekend of tennis,” said associate head coach Mark Roberts. “Caitlin Herb had an awesome weekend winning both the singles and doubles titles, and represented the Wildcats well with an outstanding competitive and fair attitude. Our team is getting better all the time and we all need to keep working hard and stay motivated to be the best person and athlete we can be.
We are so proud of you Caitlin all your hard work and dedication is paying off.
