Grey College win Grey Tennis Festival

The host school emerged winners of the recently completed Grey Tennis Festival – which was held from 20-22 October 2017 in Bloemfontein. Grey managed to beat last years winners, St Stithians in the final to regain the title of this prestigious tournament.
In the final, Grey lead 4-2 after the singles, before the doubles pair of Philip Henning and Charl van Heerden crossed the finish line, by clinching their doubles match. Eight of the top tennis schools in South Africa were represented and they finished in the following order.
1) Grey College
2) St Stithians
3) Paul Roos
4) Waterkloof
5) Affies
6) Paarl Boishaai
7) Pretoria Boys
8) Kearsney College
This tournament does not include current grade 12 players and is effectively the start of the 2018 schools tennis season.
